Ласточка (“Lastochka”), meaning swallow bird [en], rondine [it], Schwalbe [de], is the name of this great new high-speed Siemens-built EMU train running several regional and suburban lines in Russia.

Here I took this on my way from Nizhny Novgorod back to Moscow station.

Great news: it is also used introduced on the new Moscow Central Circle commuter line!
